In accordance with the enactment of Minister of Trade Regulation No. 16 of 2025 concerning Import Policies and Regulations on August 29, 2025, there are several things that all importers of forestry products need to know, including:
- To import forestry products, an Import Approval from the Ministry of Trade is no longer required, but an Import Declaration from the Ministry of Forestry is still required.
- When submitting the PIB, importers no longer need to input the Forestry Import Permit but must input the Import Declaration with code 999.
- The validity period of the new Import Declaration, which takes effect starting August 29, is valid for one calendar year.
